Welcome to this module where we explore our calling to be part of the people of God living out our faith every day wherever we are. This very much a reflective module, and so you will need to spend as much time reflecting as you do reading. The module will explore call and vocation from a biblical, historical, doctrinal, ecclesial and personal perspective. The sessions build week by week, focusing on a particular area of our call to be the people of God and within each of three main areas: history, doctrine and church.

A module like this one is, almost by definition, reflective, practical and anecdotal. For that reason this module is very thoughtful and reflective. There are lots of references, articles and clips referred to throughout the module which will, as a whole, offer a broad, and in-depth overview of the topic; but more importantly, we'll be listening to each other, our own reflections and God's calling as we reflect on God's mission to the world and our place within that. Please note that for those taking the assignments, it is important that you post on the Forum your findings from the 'Reflect' exercise for every session and also that you comment on at least one other student's post per session. This forms part of the assessment of your learning in the module and so you won't be able to pass without doing this.

Dates for the Shared Learning Mornings and the Assignment Deadline can be found in the Term Dates Tab which is always in the menu bar at the top right on every page of the website including the session pages. Please note that you will be sharing learning with people who are at different stages of their journey and on different training pathways. We hope you will find this encouraging and energising.
