Preachers Module

This single, extended module of the Discipleship Training programme has been designed for those people who  preach in their local church at the invitation of their Vicar but who do not hold the Bishop's license to do so.

The module is made up of 13 sessions, 7 of which are studied online on your own and the other 6 of which are held as meetings on Zoom with other students.

​

10 of the sessions explore the New Testament and the other 3 (which are all on Zoom) explore the nuts and bolts of what makes a good preacher (including living a preaching life, preparing a sermon, authenticty and integrity in the pulpit, etc).

 

Time commitment for each session is around 5 hours depending on your speed of study. Sessions can be accessed on a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

The module runs from mid April for 10 consecutive weeks then concludes with two further Study Days, one in September and another in November (Study Days are always on Saturdays and run from 9.00am to 1.00pm on Zoom)
